Supercutt is a video editing app designed to help you quickly remove silences and add captions to your videos. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.
Information We Collect
Supercutt collects session-based media data (videos containing audio/visual content, which may include your voice) solely for processing purposes. This data is not linked to your identity and is automatically deleted after processing. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not use analytics or tracking services.
Videos You Process
When you select a video to edit, the video is temporarily uploaded to our processing server for analysis. This is necessary to:
Detect and remove silent portions of your video.
Generate automatic captions using AI.
By using the auto-captioning and silence removal features, you provide explicit consent for Supercutt to process your audio/video data on our secure backend servers as described in this policy.
How We Process Your Videos
Your videos are processed on secure servers and are automatically deleted after processing is complete. We do not:
Store your videos long-term.
Share your videos with third parties.
Use your videos to train AI models.
Access or view your video content.
Third-Party Services
We use the NVIDIA Parakeet-TDT-0.6B-v3 AI model for automatic caption generation. This processing happens on our servers, and your video data is not shared with NVIDIA or any other third party.
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (SSL) encryption. Videos are processed on secure servers and automatically deleted after processing is complete.
Device Permissions
Supercutt requests access to your device's photo library to allow you to select videos for editing. We only access videos that you explicitly choose to edit.
Data Retention
Videos and processed data are temporarily stored on our servers only during the editing session and are automatically deleted once processing is complete. We do not maintain any long-term storage of your content.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store personal information, there is no personal data for you to access, modify, or delete. All video processing is temporary and session-based.
Children's Privacy
Supercutt does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not target children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
